Fairy House Friends, May 17th-May 21st, 10 am-4pm

Folklore says that fairies return to their favorite gardens on MayDay! Visitors strolling in Lakewold Gardens for Fairyfest will find evidence of their return. Sharp eyes will spot fairy houses along the walkways. Under trees and shrubs and even hanging from branches, magical creations of nature's wonders found by fairies to make their homes will delight children and adults alike.

Fairy StoreThe Fairy Store, May 19th-21st, 10am-4pm

Dedicated to lightening hearts and spirits by bringing fairy magic into the world, The Fairy Store will join us with an array of fairy products which inspire, entertain, enlighten and bring fun and beauty to wherever you are. Do you believe in fairies? We do.

Fairy Princess Lola, May 19th, 10am-4pm

Professional fairy Princess Lolly will be joining us to bring fantasy and fun to the gardens.  Join her as she strolls the gardens with her magical music, and be ready to receive a special treat!

Elemental Impressions, May 19th, 10:30am

Elemental Impressions is a gathering of various musicians to create songs of the Faerie Realms.  David plays multiple instruments to create many of these songs.  Enjoy a touch of Fae with these magical songs about the Faerie Realms.

Mr. Bubbleman, May 19th, 11:00am-Noon

Join us as we present Mr. Bubbleman! This one hour show, great for children and adults, will delight you with song, laughter, and of course, bubbles.

Fairy Princess Dance Class, May 19th, 11:30am and 1:30pm

Join us in the library courtyard for a 30 minute princess ballet class.  Dancers of all ages and experiences are welcome!

Hearthstone Fables, Artist in Residence, May 19th 10am-4pm

In the magical world of Hearthstone Fables, Kristin Haakenson seeks to express her passion for faith, nature, & mythic storytelling through art.  She aims to create simple, quiet narratives that convey a sense of wonderment at the sacred world, with the various flora and fauna of nature weaving enchanting stories together." 

SATURDAY MAY 20th:

Mystery Soda, May 20th, 10:30-11:30am

An acoustic-ish rock band with influences from psychedelic, folk, and punk rock.  Their lyrics are often humorous and sometimes spiritual and living in the realms of the faerie folk. If you like to laugh and dance, this is the band for you.

Celtic Treble, May 20th, 11:45am-12:45pm

A dynamic Celtic music trio.  Annie, Denise and Jon are sure to delight with their earthy beats, soulful strings, and flying fingers.

Celtic TrebleBlue Cloud Celtic (BCC), May 20th, 1pm-3pm

Steeped in traditional Scottish, Gaelic and Irish folk music and song, Blue Cloud Celtic loves the opportunity to present their ancestral roots to the “celtic public”. Dave is a member of Clan Donald USA, as well as Slighe nan Gaidheal, the Seattle Gaelic Society. They have performed at local highland games as well as associated events.

FaeAna's Fairytales, May 20th, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm

Fairy FaeAnn will regale you with tales of the faerie realm.  Join her in the library courtyard (weather permitting) for magical stories about the fairy people and more!

Gordon Family YMCA, Caricatures, May 20th, 10am-4pm

The talented arts staff from the YMCA in Sumner, WA want to turn you into a fairy!  Join them in the upper conference room as they make amazing caricatures of you and your family, then give you the opportunity to color them.

Amy Brown, Artist in Residence,

Fantasy artist, Amy Brown resides in the Pacific Northwest along with various annoying house goblins and garden trolls. In 1994 she began painting fairies. It did not take long for her to become completely entangled in the magic, myth, and wonder surrounding these mysterious creatures. More info can be found at www.amybrownart.com

Nana Thebus, Artist, May 20th, 10am-4pm

Influenced by folkart, the natural world and artistic endeavors of diverse cultural traditions, Nana employs her background in anthropology, theater and Jungian psychology in her artwork.  Her work continually explores the mixing of media,  style and ideology, creating surprising and dynamic juxtapositions.

SUNDAY MAY 21st:

Herb Leonard, Artist in Residence, May 21st, 10am-4pm

In a career spanning over thirty years as a professional illustrator and graphic designer, Herb has illustrated more than thirty books and has earned numerous awards and international acclaim.

Lakewood Family YMCA "FLY" Dance Team, May 21st 10:00-11:30am

They flit, they float, they FLY!  Enjoy the artistic styling of the FLY dance team from the Lakewood Family YMCA as they move through the gardens.  Catch a performance on some of their favorite routines on the brick walk, and learn how your child can get involved in the arts.

CharismaCharisma School of Dance, May 21st Noon-2pm

Enjoy the fairy dancers of Charisma as they charm in the gardens. Founded in 1997, Charisma students are taught dance techniques needed to be successful, and in an atmosphere that is welcoming, loving and caring. For more information, visit www.charismaschoolofdance.com.
