Lakewold Gardens is very happy to publish the 2010 Garden Lover's Guide. We hope it introduces you to a few of the many gardens and estates that grace our magnificent Northwest landscape. Long praised for its great outdoors, this area has become a noted garden-lover's destination. The reason is plenty of good soil, a temperate climate that suits a wide variety of plants, and an abundance of gardeners and nurseries. Our only regret is not being able to include them all.

What is a Northwest Garden? Because of our area's unique environment, you'll get a glimpse of plants and garden styles from around the world. In the short distance between Puget Sound and Portland there are a diverse range of micro-climates that allow gardeners to get creative with few limitations. We've included a mix of acclaimed public gardens, historic estate gardens and some of the area's fine emerging gardens.
