StephanieLakewold Gardens: A Magnificent Northwest Garden

Stephanie Walsh, Executive Director

Over a year in the making, Lakewold: A Magnificent Northwest Garden, is now available for purchase at Lakewold Gardens. This stunning coffee table style book begins with an introduction by longtime Lakewold docent Ron Fields. Renowned authors, gardeners, and landscape historians grace the book with their own personal essays, giving readers unique insight into the many facets of Lakewold Gardens. The mixture of information, touching on history, Thomas Church, rare plants, the visitor experience, and preservation are interwoven with stunning and inspiring photos of the gardens.

In her review, our garden friend and education partner describes this beautiful addition to any library:

"Before the advent of instant lawns and formulaic landscapes, gardeners created living works of art; Lakewold is one such creation. This collection of tranquil photographs and reflective essays is an affectionate tribute to the horticultural artistry of Eulalie Wagner." -Linda Chalker-Scott, author of The Informed Gardener and The Informed Gardener Blooms Again

All proceeds from the sale of Lakewold: A Magnificent Northwest Garden will be used to support the gardens and is a generous gift from the Wagner Family, longtime Lakewold docent Ron Fields, and several authors who contributed their essays. This beautiful book makes a lovely gift for the garden lover in your life and is available for $50, plus sales tax, at Lakewold’s Tour Office or The Garden Shop. Stop by and pick up your copy today as quantities are limited. Or if you prefer to save a trip, you can purchase the book below for $60 which includes tax and shipping.
